I have no idea what happened but this week we’ve had no problem finding awesome player tweets. In fact, we found so many that we couldn’t decide which to use and therefore made the executive decision to use all of them. You’ll understand why soon enough.

First we have Dustin Penner who tweeted this in regards to the teams’ visit to the White House last week:

Pretty sure jokes at Tim Thomas’ expense will never not be funny.

Next we have Logan Couture who kind of got embarrassed by Pavel Datsyuk last Thursday. Unfortunately to make matters worse, it was Couture’s birthday:

Here’s the video attached to the tweet:

At least it was someone who is known for making moves like that. Don’t worry Logan, it happens to the best of them.

What doesn’t happen to the best of them is this picture which T.J. Galiardi found while watching that video:

I don’t think there is anything I can say in response to that.

Moving along, let’s go out east where Henrik Lundqvist tweeted about a rumor he heard of someone waiting for the team in Canada:

He later tweeted he was wrong and it was only Mats Zuccarello (nicknamed the Norwegian Hobbit) along with a picture of the two. While this Rangers fan wishes the team never made that trip to Canada, I can’t say I mind who they found along the way!

Next up (yes, we still have a few more!) is Ryan Whitney who tweeted this picture of teammate Ladislav Smid:

I guess that was his way of saying he wants him to stay with the team. It worked as he re-signed this morning.

From one American Ryan to another as Ryan Kesler replied to a TSN writer with this:

tweet-RK

Farhan Lalji took it in stride and said he would see if he could find out. Got to love the fact that writers can laugh at themselves as much as the players do.

And lastly, we have this since deleted tweet from the Blue Jackets James Wisniewski who tweeted this about the game against the Ducks he would be playing later that night:

tweet-JW

He retweeted the Ducks reply saying they would be ready so he can’t hide from it. And while the Ducks did push overtime, it appears Wiz did enjoy some “Duck Soup” as none of those players got on the scoresheet and the Blue Jackets won in overtime to take sole possession (for now) of eighth place in the west. (Yes you read that correctly.)

So what are the odds we get a list of tweets this good this week or at any other point during the season? I’m guessing no. Prove me wrong guys!
